In May at Rainbows & Resilience, we kicked off Pride Month to support CCYJ’s Initiative for Safe & Affirming Care. 

Because of this event, CCYJ can provide a free fall session of our ISAC training series for teachers, social workers, youth development professionals, foster parents, lawyers, and many others, one of the key components of the initiative. Thank you to all who attended, purchased raffle tickets, donated, and celebrated with us.

The trainings are based on our evidence-based protocol that provides concrete guidance for foster care and juvenile court professionals to deliver affirming, trauma-informed care and focus on:

  • Affirming behavioral health care protocols
  • LGBTQ+ support group connections
  • Safe SOGIE data collection methods
  • Staff training and competency development
